Holiday Season

Hi again! You want more fun? Here is one of my most loved places in Sg

Kidzania Singapore
What would you like to be when you grow up? A pilot? A dentist? A firefighter? Well, Kidzania Singapore has the answer for you! Spanning over 81,000sqft, Kidzania Singapore offers real-life experiences through 80 role-play activities. Kids love going to the Pilot Aviation Academy. There are two activities you can choose from there: Pilot or Cabin Crew. You can only choose from one of the two. Pilot: Pair up with your friend or sibling, and sit in a cockpit surrounded by real knobs and buttons. in front of you is a screen, which acts as a window. Control the plane with your partner  and make sure your plane doesn't crash! Cabin Crew: Learn how to monitor the airplane, serve food to the passengers and more!
FAST FACTS ABOUT THE PILOT ACADEMY: Both of the jobs in the academy are held inside a real plane. It has been flying around the world for 30yrs. Now that it has retired, it serves as a piloting academy for kids. The plane sponsor is QATAR AIRWAYS
The need to buy food in Kidzania is not needed! Go to KFC and make a chicken hamburger just for yourself, of make pizza, ice cream, and your very own water! Through all these jobs, you get to earn money. The official Kidzania currency is kidZos. To make it more fun, you get your own bank card (maybank)! You can go to the Kidzania Maybank to Deposit and withdraw money from your card! You can also use your kidZos to buy thing in the Kidzania department store!

Holiday Season

Hi guys! I'm back!
Today I'm not going to post a book review on my blog. Instead, I'm going to list down some of my reviews of some places in Singapore.

SKYLINE Luge Sentosa
Whew! That was tiring but I wanna go again! One round of the ride is never enough! Speed/cruise down your chosen trail in a part go-cart, part toboggan vehicle. There are two trails you can choose from: The 628m-long Jungle Trail or the 688m-long Dragon trail. Both trials lead to the same finish point. The Dragon trail is longer with less sharp bends which makes it easier for us kids to speed. Then to go for another round, have a seat on the Skyride that will bring you back up the hill. Along the way, you will see a view of Sentosa Island, the Singapore City Skyline and the Southern China Sea.
Singaporeans love riding the Luge at night. The Jungle Trail has upgraded so there are beautiful thematic RGB LED lighting fixtures, so also get ready for a feast for the eyes!

Book Review (my story - Dodger!)

Great! I have my first book review ready, and here it is. I strongly recommend this book!

Dick Maybury, aged nine, 1840
My Story: Dodger!
MY STORY (Dodger!) by: Jim Eldridge
Summary:
In 1840, Dick Maybury arrives in London with nowhere to stay, no money and no friends. A chance meeting with the Adelphi gang gives him all three. But the gang makes their living outside the law and Dick learns that, once begun, the life of a pickpocket is very hard to leave behind...

  • It is a real story based on a boy named Dick Kenton, who got angry with his family and ran away to London on a coach from Shrewsbury,  renaming himself as Dick Maybury.
  • Dick joined many gangs and went to jail 5 times, doing all these before he turned eighteen. Once, he dodged away from big punishments by using stolen money to hire a lawyer to speak for him in court, and in the end was sentenced to months of jail in the Westminster Bridewell prison in London.
  • After committing so many crimes, Dick changed, from a bad-charactered guy to a good-charactered guy.
